&lt;p&gt;I really wonder if the power that critics are supposed to  enjoy with the masses is a reality. Having seen the likes of Jackie Collins churn out unending kitsch..and selling it by the millions just tells me that the buyers of books are indeed a curious lot. &lt;/p&gt;</description>
